It started with a Zhongli wig — close, but not quite
Every cosplayer has been there. You wait weeks for the character you've been planning, the wig shows up, and something's off. The color's wrong, or it frizzes, or it goes flat before noon. Wearable, sure. But it doesn't look like them.
We got tired of "wearable." So we started making our own.
Our story-How we got here
CosplayTops started on a single workbench. Back then, almost nobody made wigs just for cosplay, so when we couldn't find one that worked, we made it ourselves — one at a time. Over five years later, we've hand-made 2,000+ wigs and recreated more than 100 characters.
Our craft was shaped by some of the most demanding cosplayers you'll ever meet — the ones who perform on stage, enter competitions, and get booked for professional shoots. They can't afford a single detail to be off, and they'll catch a strand out of place from across the room.
And they're the ones who keep coming back. About one in three of our cosplayers return for their next character. People this hard to please don't come back on a sales pitch. They come back because the wig was right.
We cosplay too
We're not a hair company that wandered into this. We cosplay. We've stood in the con lines, spent way too much on a wig that let us down, and felt that rush when someone spots your character before you even say a word.
That's the moment we make wigs for.
And it's a moment anyone should get to have. However you look, whoever you are — if you love a character, you can be them. Our job is just the hair that gets you there.
What makes our wigs different
● Styled by hand, not pulled from a factory bin. A real person cuts, thins, and sets every wig. You can tell the second you put it on.
● Built to match the source. Hair color, the shape of the bangs, that one ahoge that never wants to sit right — we work off the official art until it actually looks like the character.
● Built for a full con day. A natural-looking hairline, sturdy structure, and hand-set styling that holds up all day — not just the first photo.
● A few things only cosplayers would think of. Detachable ponytails, convertible styles, magnetic bangs you can swap out. We cosplay too, so we know what a long con day actually asks for.
